Donate a Bear Program

History of the Donate a Bear Program

In 2002, one of our board members, an avid collector of artist bears, felt it was time to donate part of their extensive collective to CRF in support of their mission. The Adopt A Bear Program™ was created and installed on the web site as fundraiser supporting the ongoing financial needs of CRF.

Bears can be adopted for their adoption fee, or more, plush shipping and handling, and given to anyone needing a lift up or a smile. Every bear donated receives a certificate, and .80 of every dollar of the funds from these bears goes directly to the children.

These bears are collectibles and/or artist bears and are not meant as toys for children, because of the delicateness of some of their structure and the artist reputation for creating them.

Our first Adopt A Bear went to President William Jefferson Clinton by a friend after his heart surgery.

Art of My Heart Greeting Cards

The Child Rescue Foundation, Inc. has been granting wishes to families and children impacted by violence since 1999.

A Presidents Point of Light Awardee, this organization reaches out to over 15,000 annually who are impacted by violence.

Fundraising is one source of support for us, and here you will find cards made by local children.

All cards are handmade with art by local children,mounted on rough edged card stock,

measure 6.5 inches x 5 inches and come with their own envelope.
